Jerry

There is a check valve on each tank. When the rear tank pump is running, the
fuel is going the wrong way through the front tank check valve and is
filling the front tank. The check valve is about $20 at a Ford dealer. Be
careful when you remove the valve. It is a "Chinese Finger Puzzle" type
connection. There may be a problem with the front tank pump, but fix one
problem at a time.

Hope this helps.

Bob

Has anyone determined whether any of the microprocessors used in
controlling ford truck electrical systems, braking, fuel delivery etc.
are going to crash on January 1, 2000 as is the case on many other types
of rolling stock?

The Alldata TSB list shows a recall for a cross feed condition. I would
start by calling your Ford dealer with this TSB/recall number: SEP 93
Cross Tank Fuel Flow Condition - Recall 93S68. I'm like you with my
'90 F150 dual tank. The manual says there is supposed to be a fuel
solenoid on the left frame rail somewhere. I'll be darned if I can find
it. Mine doesn't cross feed, there is just no reading on the fuel gauge
while on the front tank. Good luck.

I seriously doubt it. I seriously doubt the cars or the trucks that
are out there today even CARE what the date is.

Nope, that's First On Race Day. :)

I still can't get over the race up at the Ocala Speedway when a 5.0
Mustang whupped a new Corvette! That was a sight to see, I just
wish I had a camera out there to photograph the finish.

Since it has come up, I'd actually like to get a more specific FTE decal
that incorporates the FTE 'logo' like it is at the top of the web site.

I'd be glad to pre-order/pay for a few to help off set set-up & printing
costs if we have enough interest across the various lists to justify
having them made up. Anyone else interested?

I've got to do this, even at great risk to life and limb:

FORD - Found On Road Dead

of course, we can try to patch it up with

FORD - First On Race Day

what can I say, I love my '96 Chevy Impala SS just barely more than my
'97 F350XLT4x4CCPS4.10...
